Life is meh.
I'm very fortunate so far, but was let known that there are possible layoffs in 2024. Not surprising, but definitely made me think about my future.
- I cancelled some subscriptions. But there are some coming down the pipeline that there are no point in cancelling until next year. 🤷♂️
- I probably won't get a non-neocities blog (I was thinking abou it) as that's extra money.
- I will probably be looking closer at my groceries. Unfortunately everytime I try, its hard to reduce. Maybe a good, hard look at my pantry will help. 🤔
- I'll miss buying some special books that aren't at my library. I literally had Everything for Everyone: An Oral History of the New York Commune, 2052 picked out. 😣
Yet there are so many others struggling more, so it could be worse. 🤷♂️ I have time to plan.
I guess the big thing is what next. The competition for a similar position is fierce. My brain fog gets in the way of learning to code, and even folk in that field are struggling.
Unforunately I don't want to do anything that produces profit even as room for dreams squeezes tighter. I keep thinking of sitting on the beach and feeling the waves. Opening a little zine community center free store type thing.
